Mistakes are bound to happen while building and putting down structures in survival games. In the vibrant world of Palworld, players often find themselves in situations where their carefully constructed bases don’t quite fit the vision they had in mind. Fortunately, just like in many other games, Palworld allows players to dismantle their creations and relocate them. This guide will walk you through the steps of moving and destroying structures in the game.
As you embark on your adventure in Palworld, it’s crucial to understand that you cannot simply pick up and move buildings once they have been placed. Instead, the game offers a build and dismantle mode, meaning if you want to reposition a structure, you will first need to destroy it completely. This mechanic may seem limiting, but it adds an interesting layer of strategy to how you plan your base.
While the inability to move structures directly can be frustrating, it’s also an opportunity to rethink your layout. Players can destroy existing structures and rebuild them in a new location. In this guide, we will explore how to effectively use the Disassembly mode to destroy unwanted structures and reclaim the materials you spent on them. Understanding this process will enable you to create a more efficient and appealing base as you progress through the game.
Unfortunately, you can’t just pick up and move a structure you’ve put down already in Palworld. The survival Pokémon look-a-like only features a build and dismantle mode, so there isn’t a way to change the orientation or move a building without first destroying it completely. If you’re looking to reposition your base, here’s how you can effectively do it.
Although you can’t move a structure or building in Palworld, you’re not totally out of luck. Instead, you can destroy one and then re-build it elsewhere. In Build mode, press R3 on your controller or C on a keyboard and mouse setup to enter the Disassembly mode to destroy unwanted structures and essentially move them somewhere else in Palworld. Doing so will refund you all the materials spent making those items, though depending on just how much you destroy, you may end up over-encumbered.
As you begin trekking further out and decide to move your base, you can use the Disassembly mode to destroy your Palbox and simultaneously dismantle everything within the camp. Be forewarned, though: Only do this if you know where to put your base next because it will take some time to build everything back up if you settle in a poor gathering spot. It’s also a good idea to already have a second base established elsewhere to avoid the long delays that can come from re-building.
It’s unclear if developer Pocket Pair will include a move feature to readjust structures already made in a future patch during early access. In the meantime, you’ll have to depend on Disassembly mode and be extra careful about what you’re doing.
