SMT V Vengeance A Goddess Stolen Quest Guide

A Goddess Stolen can be initiated by conversing with Jack Frost located in the Fairy Village, which is situated south of Oberon and Titania. Before you can start this quest, you must complete the main quest known as “A Golden Opportunity.” Jack Frost will enlist your help to rescue Idun, who has been taken captive by Loki. To reach Loki, you’ll have to make your way through the region, utilizing the Magatsu Rails to ease your travel.

As you journey towards Loki, you will encounter various demons, including Forneus and Black Ooze, which indicate that you are on the right track. Be prepared, as Aogami will alert you to the imminent danger of confronting Loki. Once you enter the cave where Loki resides, he will immediately attack, showcasing the need for readiness and strategic planning in battle.

Should You Eat the Golden Apple in SMT V Vengeance?

Once you defeat Loki, he will tempt you with Idun’s apple, which promises immortality. This moment is crucial as it directly influences your alignment in the game:

  • If you choose to eat the apple, you will gain points towards your Chaos alignment. Although your heart has been tempted, your character as a Nahobino remains unchanged. Idun will express her gratitude for your assistance and return to her starting location.
  • On the other hand, if you decide against eating the apple, your Law alignment points will increase. Your character's heart remains pure, and Idun will thank you similarly before departing.

Completing this quest rewards you with x2 Small Glory Crystals and allows you to fuse with Idun. The dialogue at the quest's conclusion will vary depending on your choice, but the rewards themselves will remain consistent. It's essential to remember that your alignment can significantly affect the ending you receive in the Canon of Vengeance.

While alignment is less critical in the Canon of Creation, it can still influence the rewards you gain after choosing your ending. I opted to eat the apple during my first playthrough to pursue a Chaos ending, but it's crucial to continue making choices that align with your desired path.
