In the thrilling world of Dragon's Dogma 2, side quests offer players a chance to explore and engage with the game on a deeper level. However, these quests can sometimes be challenging, particularly when it comes to locating specific areas like the Ancestral Chamber. If you're feeling stuck and unsure of where to go, fear not! This guide will help you navigate your way to the Ancestral Chamber with ease.
Understanding the layout and intricate details of the game can make a significant difference in your gameplay experience. The Ancestral Chamber, a pivotal location in the game, is just one of many fascinating areas you can explore. In this guide, we will provide you with detailed directions and tips on how to access this chamber, ensuring that you won’t miss out on the rewards and excitement it offers.
As you embark on your journey, remember that exploring each nook and cranny of Dragon's Dogma 2 can lead to unexpected treasures and encounters. Let’s dive into the specifics of finding the Ancestral Chamber, so you can continue your adventure without unnecessary delays!
The Ancestral Chamber is tucked away just northwest of the ruined stronghold of Melve in Dragon's Dogma 2. To help you find it, we’ve included a screenshot below that highlights its exact location. In addition, we will cover two possible entrances for accessing the chamber.
One entrance is located directly west of Melve. To reach this entrance, take the north exit from Melve, follow the main road, and then turn left at the fork. However, accessing this entrance requires knocking down a ladder to climb up the hill. During my gameplay, I successfully reached the top using either Levitate as a Sorcerer or the charged jump ability as a Mystic Spearhand.
Executing this maneuver requires some finesse. If you lack access to either of these vocations, I recommend using the second entrance, which is much simpler to access. From Vernworth, follow the main road heading towards Melve, going north of the Malachite Forest until you’re directly west of Melve.
From this point, continue heading west until you spot a wooden scaffolding. Keep moving forward while staying close to the cliff face. You will soon discover a small beaten path leading up the hill, granting you access to the Ancestral Chamber.
As you progress through the Ancestral Chamber in Dragon’s Dogma 2, you’ll encounter a barred door that blocks your way. Figuring out how to get through it might take some time. The key is to rest until nighttime and then reload your save in the game. This process allows enemies to spawn in the dungeon, which can ultimately help break down the door, letting you continue your adventure.
The Trial of Archery is a timed side quest that you can unlock in Vernworth after completing the Gift of the Bow quest. The mission begins when Glyndwr asks for your assistance with the archery trial. However, things take a turn when his sister is kidnapped by an ogre.
Since this quest is time-sensitive, it's crucial to head to the Ancestral Chamber as soon as possible to prevent any harm coming to Glyndwr’s sister. Regardless of how the quest unfolds, you will still receive a reward, but if you prefer a more favorable outcome, it’s best to act quickly.
And that’s how you can effectively find the Ancestral Chamber in Dragon’s Dogma 2!
