One of the most intriguing tasks is the “Request for Tea” from Valen, a quest that may seem simple but can be quite the undertaking. This guide will walk you through the essential steps to grow and harvest tea, ensuring you’re well-prepared for this task.

How To Get Tea in Fields of Mistria

To get tea in Fields of Mistria, you’ll need to grow it as a crop from tea seeds during the summer season. Once planted, tea seeds will sprout into a bush of tea leaves after about five days. The best part? The tea leaves will naturally regrow every three days throughout summer, allowing for continuous harvesting!

You can purchase tea seeds at the General Store for 300 Tesserae per bag. However, be prepared to first upgrade the store, as it won’t stock tea seeds until then. This initial investment is crucial for your tea-growing journey.

How To Upgrade the General Store

To upgrade the General Store and access tea seeds, you need to wait for a letter from Adeline. This letter usually arrives after completing repairs on the Mill. Once you receive the letter, head over to the store to meet Adeline and begin gathering the necessary resources for the upgrade.

Adeline will set up a collection box where you can drop off the required materials, which include:

• Wood x300
• Iron Ingot x5
• Copper Ingot x5
• Stone x500

Most of these resources are easy to find early in the game. However, for iron, you’ll need to venture past the 20th floor in the Mines. A Water Seal prevents access to the 21st floor, but once you complete a quest to remove it, you can start collecting iron ore. Remember, you'll need to smelt 10 iron ore to produce one iron ingot!

After gathering all materials, return to Adeline and pay 3,000 Tesserae to complete the upgrade. Make sure to do this before summer ends, as the store will only stock tea seeds during that season.

What To Do With Tea in Fields of Mistria

Once you have successfully grown tea, you might want to hand some over to Valen to complete her quest. However, the tea leaves can be utilized in various ways! You can sell them, use them in cooking, or even gift them to friends in the game.

Tea leaves can be sold for 135 Tesserae each, making them quite profitable due to their rapid growth and regular harvests. You can also create delicious recipes like Green Tea, Tea with Lemon, and Roasted Rice Tea, which help restore your HP and Stamina.

Additionally, consider gifting tea leaves to characters like Darcy during the Saturday Market, or to Hemlock and Josephine, who appreciate the gesture. If you make Green Tea, don’t forget to share it with Juniper, who has a special fondness for it!
