This guide will provide you with a detailed roadmap, covering everything from the starting requirements to the essential actions you must take to unlock the Radahn Festival. Whether you're a seasoned player or a newcomer, this comprehensive overview will equip you with the knowledge needed to navigate through Elden Ring's vast landscapes and intricate lore.
To initiate the Radahn Festival in Elden Ring, there are two primary methods you can utilize:
Ranni’s questline is known for its complexity and length. Therefore, for many players, the simpler approach would be to activate a Site of Grace in the Altus Plateau. If you haven’t reached this area yet, don’t worry! We’ll guide you through the steps to get there.
To access the Altus Plateau in Elden Ring, you must first activate the Grand Lift of Dectus. You’ll need the Dectus Medallion, which is split into two halves. The left half can be found in Fort Haight, located in East Limgrave. Climb to the top of the ramparts to defeat a challenging knight enemy, where a chest containing the left half awaits.
The right half of the medallion is located in Fort Faroth, in the Caelid region. Upon entering Fort Faroth, look for a ladder in the far side of the room and climb up to find the chest containing the right half. Once you have both halves, you can activate the Grand Lift of Dectus, located on the Bellum Highway in northern Liurnia.
Alternatively, you can reach the Altus Plateau by navigating through a ravine just west of the Grand Lift. At the end of this ravine, you’ll find a smaller lift that takes you up the cliffs. Be prepared for encounters with numerous enemies along this route!
To start Ranni’s questline, head northwest of Lucaria Lake to meet War Counselor Iji. Proceed to Carian Manor, clear the dungeon, and you’ll eventually reach the Three Sisters area where Ranni resides in the western tower. Engaging with her will set you on the path to unlocking the festival.
Once you’ve spoken with Ranni, make your way to Siofra River Well to meet Blaidd. Afterward, talk to Selvius and Sellen. Completing these dialogues will allow you to deliver a letter to Ranni, which will trigger the Radahn Festival.
However, if you find this route cumbersome, activating a Site of Grace in the Altus Plateau is a much simpler option, especially if you are adequately leveled.
After completing the necessary steps, return to Redmane Castle. You should find the portal by the side of the road now active. Interact with it to enter Redmane Castle, where you’ll hear the festival announcer as soon as you arrive. Speak with him to officially begin the Radahn Festival and prepare for one of the most notorious boss fights in Elden Ring.
