If you’re well into your journey in Elden Ring, you can skip this section and head to the next. However, if you’re new to the Lands Between or want to reach the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC on a fresh save, here is how you can get to the Mohgwyn Palace ASAP.
First, you must defeat Margit and Godrick the Grafted. This triggers an event where Varre, the man who calls you maidenless, will travel to a church in Liurnia of the Lakes. Below are the steps that allow you to teleport to Mohg’s doorstep:
Players can activate the Medallion to be teleported to Mohgwynn Palace instantly. Unlike the portal in the Consecrated Snowfield, this teleport will place players directly at the entrance of the palace, allowing for faster access to the formidable Mohg.
To reach Mohg and his palace, take the portal northwest of the Yelough Anix Ruins in the Consecrated Snowfields. As you approach the portal, you will notice an abundance of red flowers in the snow, indicating the presence of a Sanguine Noble. After defeating this noble, look toward the map's edge on a downward slope. There, you'll find a blue teleporter surrounded by pools of blood. Interacting with this teleporter will transport you to Mohgwynn Palace.
Reaching Mohgwynn’s Palace is the first step to finding Mohg. While the hardest part may seem over, players still need to navigate through the area. Two main Sites of Grace can be found as you approach the main mausoleum. Once you exit a dark cave filled with multiple Sanguine Nobles, you will discover an elevator leading to the main arena where Mohg resides, along with the body of Miquella.
To access the Consecrated Snowfields, you need both the left and right halves of the Secret Haligtree Medallion. You can find one half in the Village of the Albinaurics. Travel west in Liurnia of the Lakes to reach the village, and strike a large pot to make Old Albus appear, who will give you the first half of the medallion.
The second half is located at Castle Sol, situated at the northern tip of the Mountaintop of the Giants. Defeating Commander Niallm, one of the tougher bosses in the game, will allow you to find a chest containing the second half. After obtaining both halves, return to the Grand Dectus Lift and use the medallion to access the path leading to the Consecrated Snowfields.
Once you have successfully accessed the Consecrated Snowfields, you can make your way to Mohg’s Palace to continue your quest to find Miquella.
