How to Unlock Godborn in SMT V Vengeance

To unlock Godborn mode, you must first defeat Satan, the game’s strongest secret boss. This isn’t an easy task, but setting your difficulty to Safety can help, as he won’t be able to deal significant damage to you. Follow these steps to initiate the Godborn option:

• Finish the game with any ending (Canon of Creation or Canon of Vengeance);
• Start a Canon of Vengeance run or load your Canon of Vengeance save file before fighting the final boss;
• Speak with Mastema at Shinjuku 1st Block leyline and complete his two quests (defeat Samael and Satan);
• Defeat the final boss again and start a New Game+ with this save file.

Once you have completed these steps, the Godborn option will be available when you start a new game. You will carry over your level, Demon Compendium, and items, but be warned: all enemies will be pushed to Level 150, including random encounters!
