In the vibrant world of Final Fantasy XIV (FFXIV), mascot suits are more than just costumes; they are a reflection of the game's fun and whimsical spirit. Among these, the Mica Suit stands out as the latest addition, offering players a delightful way to express their individuality. If you think you can brave the chaos of a squirrel-themed event, then you're in for a treat as you try to obtain this unique suit!
Getting the Mica Suit requires some effort, particularly in completing the special FATE known as “Mascot Murder.” This FATE is located in a special area, so be prepared for a bit of a challenge! Players must also be ready to work with others, as teamwork often makes completing these tasks much easier.
The journey to obtaining the Mica Suit is filled with excitement and camaraderie, where you'll meet fellow adventurers who can help you on your quest. In this guide, we will cover everything you need to know about acquiring the Mica Suit, including where to find it, how to spawn the relevant FATE, and tips for maximizing your chances of success. Let’s dive into the colorful world of FFXIV and uncover the secrets behind the Mica Suit!
The Mica Suit can be obtained by completing the Level 100 special FATE “Mascot Murder” in Living Memory (X:37.2, Y:332). Once you complete this FATE, you can exchange the drops you receive, known as Mica Magicogs, with Uah’shepya in Solution Nine (X:8.6, Y:13.5). To acquire the complete suit, you will need a total of 10 Magicogs, which you earn based on your completion rank in the FATE, typically receiving between 2 and 6 Magicogs per run.
Much like the other special FATE in the Dawntrail expansion, “The Serpentlord Seethes,” the Mascot Murder FATE is situated on a high platform that is not accessible to players who have not unlocked flight in the area. However, don’t fret! You can easily ask another player for a lift, and the FFXIV community is known for being helpful. The FATE itself has a significant amount of health, but don’t worry; it usually attracts a large crowd of players, making it easier to defeat.
The Mascot Murder FATE pits you against Mica, the Magical Muju. To spawn this special FATE, you need to meet certain conditions. It can only appear every 24 to 72 hours after it was last defeated or after maintenance, requiring players to complete a short chain of FATEs consecutively within the same instance. The FATEs you need to complete are:
Both are relatively simple boss FATEs that spawn one after the other, and they are not rare at all. After defeating both, there’s a small chance that Mascot Murder will spawn. Even when the spawn window is open, it’s not guaranteed to appear, so patience and a bit of luck are essential. Each instance has its own separate timer for the FATE, meaning the wait times can vary.
Joining Hunt/FATE communities, such as Linkshells or Discord servers, can significantly enhance your chances of success as they allow you to communicate and share information about spawn windows. To obtain both the suit and the headpiece, you must defeat the FATE at least twice. Don’t hesitate to hop to different servers to find better opportunities! With a bit of luck, the Mica Suit will soon be yours to flaunt in your growing Glamour collection.
